This retrofit kit is designed for adding the EAPC position controller to an existing HAMAR Electric Actuator. The kit allows users to add closed-loop position control to their current actuator setup without replacing the complete unit.
The kit includes the EAPC position controller, the potentiometer feedback assembly and the compartment heater assembly, along with the mounting hardware and terminal caps required for installation.
To ensure proper configuration, first identify the actuator’s stroke length and velocity from the serial tag located on the unit. This information is critical when ordering the EAPC retrofit kit.
The kit requires both the stroke length and velocity specifications because the internal gearing of the potentiometer assembly is matched to these actuator parameters. The gearing is selected specifically to correspond with the actuator’s factory-defined stroke and speed.
Important:
- The actuator velocity is fixed at the factory and cannot be changed by installing this kit.
- Accurate stroke and velocity information is required to ensure the correct gearing configuration is supplied.
