This retrofit kit is designed for adding a potentiometer (POT) feedback device to an existing HAMAR Electric Actuator. The kit allows users to integrate position feedback into their current actuator setup without replacing the complete unit.
To ensure proper configuration, first identify the actuator’s stroke length and velocity from the serial tag located on the unit (see graphic below for reference). This information is critical when ordering the POT retrofit kit.
The potentiometer kit requires both the stroke length and velocity specifications because the internal gearing combinations are matched to these actuator parameters. The gearing inside the kit is selected specifically to correspond with the actuator’s factory-defined stroke and speed.
Important:

The actuator velocity is fixed at the factory and cannot be changed by installing this kit.
